Safeguarding
Safeguarding and concerns
Everyone receiving care should be treated with dignity and feel able to speak up. We take concerns about safety, abuse, neglect and the quality of support seriously.

Urgent concerns
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Do not wait for a response from Involvement Support.
You can report a safeguarding concern directly to the local authority where the person lives or is currently located. You do not have to raise it with us first.
Adults
Contact the adult social care or safeguarding team at the council where the person lives or is currently located. Most councils have an out-of-hours emergency duty team for urgent concerns.
Children and young people
Contact the children’s services or Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) for the area. Professionals should also follow local procedures.
Find the right council at gov.uk/find-local-council.
Tell us if something worries you
You can raise a concern about your own care or someone else’s. Speak to the staff member or manager responsible, or contact our office and ask for the concern to be passed to the right manager.
You do not need to wait for a care review to tell us something is wrong.
How we respond
Our staff receive safeguarding training for children and adults, and guidance on recognising and reporting concerns. Where a concern needs to be referred to another organisation, we follow the relevant safeguarding procedures.
- Recognise: staff notice signs, disclosures and changes in wellbeing
- Respond: immediate safety comes first and concerns are reported without delay
- Learn: we review practice so protection keeps improving
You can request a copy of our safeguarding policy through the office.
Feedback and complaints
We welcome feedback about what works well and what could improve. To make a complaint, read our complaints procedure.
Let us know if you need help communicating your concern or would like someone to support you.
