Daily life and community
More connection, confidence and possibility.
Support is about more than completing tasks. We help people take part in everyday life, develop interests and build meaningful connections in their community.

Daily living
Practical skills, real routines.
We build practical skills through real routines and achievable steps, breaking tasks into manageable parts and allowing time to learn.
- Shopping and preparing meals
- Household tasks
- Managing money
- Keeping appointments
Activities and interests
Experiences that mean something.
We help people explore activities that are enjoyable, purposeful and personally meaningful, from hobbies and sport to arts, faith and culture.
- Hobbies, sport and creative activities
- Clubs, classes and groups
- Days out and new experiences
- Volunteering and learning opportunities
Community connection
A real sense of belonging.
We support relationships, access to local places and a real sense of belonging, on the person’s own terms.
- Friendships and social activities
- Local groups and clubs
- Education and volunteering
- Work opportunities
What support can include
Help with the things that make up a day.
Each person’s plan sets out what they want help with and what they would rather do themselves.
- Planning meals, shopping and cooking
- Keeping a home clean and organised
- Managing money, bills and post
- Getting to appointments and using local services
- Travelling by bus, train or on foot with growing confidence
- Joining clubs, classes, groups and places of worship
- Seeing friends and family and making new connections
- Exploring volunteering, education and work
How progress happens
Small steps that add up.
Start with what the person can do
We build on existing skills and interests rather than starting from what is difficult.
Practise in real settings
Skills are learned in the kitchen, at the bank or on the bus, not just talked about.
Notice and celebrate progress
Progress can be a new skill, a calmer routine or simply trying something for the first time.
Questions
Daily life and community FAQs
Answers to the questions we are asked most often.
Can support include evenings and weekends?
Yes, where it is part of the agreed plan. Many community activities happen outside office hours, and we plan staffing around the person’s routine.
Who pays for activities?
The person usually pays their own costs for activities, travel and tickets, in the same way anyone would. We help with budgeting and finding free or low-cost options.
What if someone feels anxious about going out?
We go at their pace. That might mean a short visit somewhere quiet first, planning the route together or going at a less busy time.
